Dance Styles  
Belly dance, otherwise known as oriental dance, includes many dance styles with influences taken from Persia, India and Turkey  
Egyptian / and Arabic Belly  Dance Styles  
Cabaret  style- Modern bellydance  
Showy 1930's inspired Belly Dance moves incorporating more sinuous arm movements and danced on the toes.  Characteristic influences in this style come from pop, folk, Turkish and Lebanese Bellydance.  This style often includes dancing with a veil and makes use of dramatic moves in tightly choreographed sequences!  
Ghawazee-Folk Ethnic style of Bellydance  
Egyptian gypsy style with unique moves such as travelling hip twists and impressive floor work.  
Raqs al Sharki  
Dance of the East, the dance of the people of North Africa and the Middle East commonly known by the Baladi solo, Arms held mostly in place, hip movements dominate this style.  
Moroccan chiKhat   
Earthy, feet pacing style with stylized patterns in the dance, often involving hand clapping.  
Belly/Burlesque -  Learn a few naughty moves from circa 1930's - to  the modern revival Burlesque today!    
Bollywood Indian Fusion  -Namaaste!  
Punjabi/Kathaka Authentic moves taken and blended in a fun, energetic style now popular the world over!  
American Tribal  
Dancers perform in a Troupe in a co-operative method of spontaneous group choreography in a folk dance style.   Influences on this style are from India, North Africa, the Middle East and Afghanistan.  
Warrior Bellydance  
Using a fusion of style elements from Yoga, kickboxing, Tai –Chi, Middle East Bellydance, Northern Indian Temple Dance and American Tribal  you will learn to use your  hips as weapons !  
Turkish Bellydance  
This  passionate (risqué) earthy style incorporates backbends and floor work.  It  is often highly improvisational, involving the use of finger cymbals and props such as candles or swords.   
Asian Fan Dances  
Incorporates slow mesmerizing dance poses taken from China, Korea and Japanese cultural dances.  In this style the use of hands and fans work elegantly to accent movements and the music, while painting a picture or telling a story with the medium of dance.
